How Much Time Does it Take to Get Porcelain Dental Veneers? What is the difference Between Porcelain and Composite Veneers? How Much Time Does it Take to Get Porcelain Dental Veneers? The entire process of porcelain veneers will take 2-3 visits. When Dr. Fedin first meets with you about veneers, he will determine what size, shape, and type of veneers that will best compliment your smile, face shape, and aesthetic desires. Next he will take an impression of your teeth and if necessary, apply temporary veneers, made out of plastic, to your teeth. Temporary veneers are often used to protect your teeth while the real porcelain veneer is being made. You can also use the temporary veneers to evaluate the look and feel of your teeth so that any changes you desire can be made. At the second appointment, Dr. Fedin will remove your temporary veneers and bond the porcelain veneer to your teeth. The veneer is then adhered by dental cement that is applied between the dental veneer and tooth. The result is a long-lasting, naturally beautiful smile. |
